Glenn Mastro, President
Glenn Mastro founded Mastro Communications, Inc., in 1994 to build a Company that managed agency-based public relations and marketing unique to Madison Avenue. Coming from the global agency life, he wanted MC to operate as a large-scale firm, but be packaged in a boutique atmosphere that offered a strategic, informed resource for media, analysts and clients, while providing a positive, people-oriented place to work.
As head of MC’s 10-person executive staff, Mastro oversees all areas within the company including corporate focus and direction, client services, business development and day-to-day operations. He also provides MC’s clients with public relations and marketing counsel and strategy development for corporate, brand and/or product-related business initiatives.
Mastro has more than 20 years of public relations and marketing experience in consumer products, technology, sporting-goods business, healthcare, travel and general-interest fields, including the establishment of Mastro Communications, Inc.
Mastro has managed, and continues to oversee, product launches, corporate communications and brand management for a breadth of major national and/or market leading companies, including Marriott International, Honeywell, RSM McGladrey and The PGA of America, among many others.
In addition to his day-to-day business duties, Mastro maintains a strong commitment to charitable initiatives and sits on the board of directors of two leading organizations. The first is the TRU Foundation, a New Jersey-based philanthropic organization dedicated to smashing the stigma associated with depression and brain disease. The second is the Steven A. Cox Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to the fight against cancer.
Mastro, who is also an active volunteer in community youth sports, resides in Warren, NJ, with his wife Jill, and his three children Nicholas, 16, Matthew, 13, and Jillian, 11.
Ari Edelman, Senior Vice President
Ari Edelman has been an integral part of the Mastro Communications executive team for more than 14 years and is involved with all facets of day to day business operations. His core responsibilities include strategy development & implementation, client services, event management and supervising media relations initiatives, among other marketing/PR directives.
Edelman has a wealth of experience managing national marketing/PR campaigns for a diverse group of companies and associations covering the consumer, sports, technology, retail and travel sectors. Currently Edelman supervises initiatives for Edwin Watts Golf Shops, The PGA of America, Faldo Golf Institute, Marriott Golf, Sportvision Inc., and Empire Golf Management, among others.
With a strong background in media relations, Edelman is well versed on the public relations strategies needed to deliver a business story, feature story, product placement, event feature or other press designed to generate brand awareness and positively impact a client’s image and bottom line.
Having served as the Media Director for the PGA Tour’s Ford Championship at Doral from 2003-2006, Edelman worked closely with the PGA TOUR media officials and the South Florida Golf Foundation to manage the media center and on-site media operations for more than 400 media members covering the event. In addition to witnessing some of the most memorable finishes on TOUR during those years, the media center was annually rated as one of the top 5 on TOUR.
Edelman has supervised high profile marketing and PR initiatives for national companies and foundations including, Staples-The Office Superstore, The Hockey Company, RSM McGladrey, Schering Plough, The Midland Foundation and RealNetworks, among others.
Edelman received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a specialization in Public Relations, and a Minor in Business from Loyola University, Maryland. Edelman resides in Warren, NJ, with his wife Patricia and three boys, Daniel, 8, Brian, 6, and Eric, 2.
